JAMIE HELM MORGAN

Illustrator and Graphic Designer

I'm a freelance illustrator and graphic designer residing in Wildcat country - Lexington, KY, with my beautiful wife and wonderful son. I've been illustrating and working in graphic design professionally for the past twenty-two years. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in Art Studio many moons ago. My love for drawing started at a very young age with an immediate affection for Disney and Warner Bros. animation and various comic strips. I've always dreamed of having a comic strip of my own and animating the latest and greatest would-be classic. While I haven't yet realized those dreams, I have had many opportunities to showcase my ability through the venue of commercial art. Over the years, I've developed my own personal drawing style, but still consider myself a pretty versatile illustrator who is continually growing. As aspects of the design world are constantly changing, I always welcome the challenge of trying something "new" or "different," while never forgetting the tried and true formulas at the heart of every great design.

I have been very fortunate to have my work appear in various capacities with companies and organizations such as:

5/3 Bank, Baptist Health Lexington, Baptist Health Richmond, Big Ass Fans, Euclid Discoveries, Fazoli’s, Havas PR North America, Incredipet, IONX Ionized Compression, Johnny Carino’s, Keeneland, Lexington Diagnostic & Open MRI, Lexington Legends Professional Baseball, Rainmaker Advertising, Southern Belle Dairy, Summit Christian Academy and the University of Kentucky.

In addition to my freelance, I previously worked for Baptist Health Lexington for fourteen years after having had several years of experience at Meridian Communications (commercial advertising) and Hunter Manufacturing (promotional advertising).

I have received various ADDY® awards from the Lexington Advertising Club throughout the years for my design and illustration.
